Do I sound discouraged? Beaten? Well, I ' m not. The physical body offers me new challenges, and some of them aren ' t fun, but something has also happened to the inner me. The need to please everyone has faded with the hair follicles. The desire to have my opinion known in every conversation went the way of those deep frown lines. I don ' t have to justify my existence - - not to myself, or anyone else. I ' m here, I ' ve survived, and I have kept my sense of humor.
